Back when I was a kid watching Pee Wee’s big Adventure, never in a million years did I expect that I’d be saying today that Paul Reubens is a sexy man.

Ahhh, the life of a Sex Worker!
This is that FUCKED UP part of this industry that I speak so eloquently about.
Blogging has become my other part-time job. I make about $100 a month off the affiliate links and an eBook that I wrote. I know that's not a lot of money, but its good considering that my blog is only 2 years old, and doesn't get that much traffic, maybe 200 hits per day.

But at the same time I've done well for myself as an escort, so I feel that I need to share that with those women. It's a whole underground world and lifestyle that these women never knew existed.

It's a totally different world from what you see on Dateline and MSNBC.
They only scratch the service of this industry; there are literally thousands of escorts all over the world. It's not just immigrant sex slaves, massage parlor girls, Street whores, and creepy Craigslist ads.
I laugh when I watch MSNBC and Dateline when they talk about prostitution and how they discovered prostitutes selling sex Online, and how they make it all seem so dramatic with elaborate busts. They bust these nickel and dime prostitutes, the ones who only make enough money to buy a value meal at Burger King, pay their Cricket wireless bill, and buy cigarettes for the night. I call them Welfare hookers.
That's why I blog about my experience in a positive light, because if I don't, people on the outside will never know that happy Hookers really do exist.

I was reading an article that suggests that very few men who buy sex are violent towards prostitutes. And although I tend to agree with that study, I will say that prostitutes are an easier target for violence, especially street prostitutes.
1000 online anonymous questionnaires were conducted for this controversial study. According to the study, 1.9 percent reported having hit pushed or physically attacked a prostitute, 1 percent reported having raped or sexually assaulted a sex worker and 1.7 percent reported having stolen from a sex worker.
I actually don’t trust these anonymous “online” studies because it’s easy for men to lie about that sort of thing, and most offenders will lie unless they’ve been jailed for it. What they need to do is conduct a study of jailed sex offenders and see what percentages of their crimes were against prostitutes. And they also need to survey prostitutes who either reported an abuse or have been hospitalized from it.
These online questionnaires don’t really prove shit.

I took an online questionnaire for prostitutes and one of the questions asked if I’m addicted to drugs. I automatically said NO although I do smoke Marijuana often. Just looking at that question made me feel uncomfortable and I felt I had to lie.
I rarely trust these surveys that I read because most are flawed or don’t give accurate data, just like every other survey or statistic that I read. I’m very inquisitive and I question everything, especially when it comes to this industry because escorting is a business of 90% deception.
Think about it. We spend all day lying to each other, whether it’s using a fake name, age, wearing wigs to hide what we really look like, or having photoshopped photos to make our bodies look unnatural.
Yesterday I spent 3 hours at my salon getting my hair done and treatment for my Alopecia. My hair has grown back almost completely on one side but the other is still really bald, but I hide it very well.
But as I was getting my treatment yesterday my stylist asked if I believed in God and I told her YES, and I immediately got into defensive mode because I thought she was going to bombard me with her beliefs. She was way weirder to me than that witch.

Or if you’re a girl into sports, then take pictures with nothing but a jersey and panties on. I see this trend with men wanting trashy but sexy girls. Or the type of girls you see in a Country and Western or dive bar.
Last night I decided to familiarize myself more with the video chat feature on my new website and have a last minute Webcam show. I was reading an article yesterday where Dallas Police Aim to help street prostitutes, not jail them. And although I applaud the idea of what the Police are trying to accomplish, I hardly believe that rehab alone is going to help these girls.
Once you get the prostitute cleaned up and off the street, then what? How will she earn money to live? Oh, let me guess, a place 40 miles away in the wealthy areas, where she has to wake up at 6am, to catch 2 buses for 2 hours to earn minimum wage.
Then if she’s lucky she can apply for Food Stamps, State Health Aid, and public housing. And I know most of you are saying to yourself, “Well that’s a start”. Let me tell you something; food stamps, State Aid and public housing will be her start… AND finish.
She’ll probably be on some sort of state assistance program for the rest of her life, unless she goes to school or some vocational program such as Job Core where she can learn a skill.
Cleaning a bitch up and pushing her out into the real world never works, and that’s why these programs have low success rates. According to the article “The program's advocates acknowledge its success has been limited — about half of the 375 women arrested have chosen rehab, and just 21 have turned their lives around”
So what does that tell you? These women didn’t want to be helped.
And I’m not ashamed to admit that if I had my choice of making $1000 a night standing on a street corner versus working a 9-5 for $8.00, Erika would be hitting the pavement.
This lifestyle is addicting. And if the woman isn’t some kidnapped sex slave, then she probably doesn’t want to be helped.
It always amazes me that my family believes that I’m this innocent child, and anything sexually oriented offends me. Pretending to be naïve is a skill that I’ve perfected over the years, especially in the presence of my family.
So that’s why when my brother’s girlfriend told me that her cousin ran a whorehouse in his basement, I had to pretend to be shocked, although I was rolling my eyes. The thought of her cousin running a whorehouse in his basement makes me cringe because I know the type of family she comes from.

Her family tried to get over on me once with some food stamp scam because they assume that I’m this naïve 32 year old girl that hangs with homosexuals. Little do they know that this industry has made me kind of street smart. I spend 24 hours a day avoiding scam and rip-off artists, so I’m definitely keen to avoiding her family of fools.
Then she had the audacity to tell me that she doesn’t want to be a bad influence by telling me the whorish shit she’s done in her past. My response was:
“If you didn’t get paid for any of your whorish deeds, then you ARE a bad influence”.
I’ve decided that I’m not going to make any New Years resolutions for 2010, and instead just go by the seat of my pants. I’m terrible at making New Year plans because my schizophrenic mind changes rapidly, and I get bored with certain ideas that I come up with.
But I do know one thing is for sure, 2010 will be my best year yet.
